This means that we will not be organising any afternoons with the children during this time. Our aim is to grow as a team, expand our skills and develop new ideas so that we can offer the children an even more enjoyable and enriching programme in the future.

The programme is only one part of what we want to focus on. Our main concern is that we can inspire children to live a life with Jesus. All others are subordinate to this concern. We will also have times of praise and prayer together as a team in order to emphasise this concern.

So that you, who are interested, can participate, a leader will write a short blog post each time and give an insight into the experience.

We met again this month. This is the penultimate time that we will meet only among the leaders. As always, we all met at Fornholz and had lunch there. Eating and cooking together helps to strengthen the community among the leaders. We can also gain important experience that we can incorporate into our afternoons with the children, enabling us to offer an even more exciting and educational programme, while still keeping God at the forefront.

But our programme also needs materials. And that's what we focused on yesterday afternoon. But before we got stuck into the materials, we praised God with songs. Then it was time to get to work. First, we cleared all our materials out of the basement and laid them out as neatly as possible in the hall. Then we split into two groups. The first group was allowed to clean the materials room, and the second group began sorting all our materials and making a list of them. In the process, we found some materials that were no longer needed or were even broken. We sorted all of these out and took them to the recycling centre. Then we took everything that had already been listed and photographed back to the materials room.

Since we all get along well in the leadership team and everyone fulfilled their assigned tasks, we were able to sort, clean and restock our equipment in a reasonable amount of time. And by the end of the afternoon, we had a better overview of our equipment, which will help us to integrate it better into our programme. Not only that, but it also strengthened the cohesion within the leadership team. Overall, the leadership afternoon was very helpful in getting to know our materials better and in once again having a tidy and clean equipment store.

For the management team

Nico Kunz

In the coming semester, the glow Ameisli and kids' team will hold regular leader afternoons.
