We are happy to send you another little update from Central Asia. We are part of a team consisting of three families and we run a language school here where we teach English, Russian and German. We live closely with the people and are often the only Jesus followers they know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are doing very well as a family. Since the beginning of the year, we've had a learning assistant to help Judith with our four children at school and our team colleagues have just returned from their three-month stay in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I said, we try to integrate as well as possible into the society and neighbourhood here and live the way people do. We are always fascinated by how many beautiful behaviours are deeply rooted in our host culture. For example, the people here are extremely generous. Recently, a poor woman, who is a former neighbour of our director, had to undergo an operation. It was only natural that the director travelled three hours to visit the woman and bring her money. Several people who heard about the story also gave money, and money was also collected in the neighbourhood so that the woman could have the operation. We dream that many more people will be able to learn to love Jesus here and we are excited to see how this will increase the positive things we take for granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
