And each part fulfils its particular task and contributes to the growth of the others, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and is filled with love<\/em>\" (Paul in Ephesians 4:16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, I've been asking myself whether working in a church like seetal chile is stressful or beneficial. We are currently looking for new employees in various areas. Is it now a question of finding dutiful \"victims\" to fill the holes that have been created? Such people will probably soon be looking for a way out because they feel burdened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Paul, cooperation is not about filling holes in a deficit-oriented way. It is about the dignity of taking on a special task in a unit created by Jesus, which contributes to the growth of others as well as to the health and love of the whole body. In other words, helping out in a church opens up a huge opportunity to participate in God's vision for this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This way of thinking completely changes the situation. Suddenly, the leaders are no longer the petitioners, but every single member of the congregation reaches out and is happy to be able to make their specific contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A traveller passes three men carving stones. As he was unfamiliar with this craft, he asked each man what he was doing. The first replied: \"<em>I carve a stone.<\/em>\" The second described his activity with the words: \"<em>I'm working on a pointed arch window.<\/em>\" Finally, the third said: \"<em>I'm building a cathedral.<\/em>\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By working in a church - be it with the children, in the bistro, preaching or on the cleaning team - you are building something great. Jesus calls it his body, his house or his bride. The seetal chile gives you the unique opportunity to work in an area that is \"special\" to you, on the most gigantic divine project that has ever existed on earth. What an honour! With Paul's understanding, two things will happen: you will be promoted instead of burdened and the seetal chile will have a scramble for the vacancies.
