The motto of this year's camp was "Back to the roots". The aim was to get back to the roots, the foundation of our faith, even in the spiritual elements of the camp. On the very first evening, we started this time with a song with the refrain "Bi eus chunnt Jesus zerscht!" It was my inner wish that this should permeate the camp and that the teenagers should not only sing it, but also bear witness to it - and what happened over the next few days was beyond imagination.

During the worship time every second evening, there was the opportunity to pray. This was actively used, so that between 15-20 people took advantage of prayer - every evening! Some of the teenagers shared their innermost feelings for the first time. After the first evening, another leader and I stood together and we said "what just happened?" We were completely overwhelmed that so many young people were taking up prayers, bringing things to light for the first time and worshipping God with all their hearts. We couldn't help but thank and praise God.

How does all this sound to you? Yes, if I'm completely honest, it also sounds a bit too spiritual, too pious, indeed simply too unbelievable for me and yes, "as a pastor you have to write it like this!" I also realise that after just one month I'm already asking myself: "Did this really happen?" But something else has also happened. I am hungry for more. A hunger for heaven to open up and change the lives of all of us so much that we can't help but sing along to "Bi eus chunnt Jesus zerscht!" How about you? Are you also hungry to experience more? Because "[...] wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17).

For me, I don't want to stop praying with this expectation. Because we cannot make encounters with God, we can only ask for them.

["post-7830","seetal_chile_poscht","type-seetal_chile_poscht","status-publish","hentry
["GET
