Sometimes it helps to take a step back and think outside the box.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The kingdom of God is not only beyond our endeavours, it is even beyond our vision.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In our lives, we only achieve a tiny fraction of the great endeavour that is God's work.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nothing we do is complete, which is a way of saying that the kingdom of God is always beyond us.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No statement says everything that could be said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No prayer fully expresses our faith.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No confession brings perfection.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No pastoral visit brings wholeness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No programme fulfils the mission of the church.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n No set of goals and targets covers everything.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n That is what we are all about. We sow the seeds that will one day sprout. We water the seeds that have already been planted because we know that they have a promising future.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We lay the foundations that need to be developed further. We provide baker's yeast, the effect of which goes far beyond our capabilities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We can't do everything, and it is a feeling of liberation to realise this. It enables us to do something, and to do it very well.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It may be incomplete, but it is a start, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord's grace to step in and do the rest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We may never see the end result, but that is the difference between the builder and the labourer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are labourers, not builders; servants, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future that is not our own.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this great vision and at the same time humility, we want to work together in the kingdom of God in the seetal chile. What an honour it is to be part of the world's largest and most promising project! Our dignity lies in the fact that we are allowed to be co-workers under the master builder Jesus Christ.
