We spent the first year mainly learning the language and culture and gaining a foothold in the country. Then came working at the language school, homeschooling and just "normal" everyday life. For a few months now, we have been spending more time learning the language again. We would like to be able to talk to the people here about deep spiritual things in their heart language, but we always lack the vocabulary to do so. In order to improve, we invited a local believing couple just today to learn spiritual words as well as new cultural things from them. It was great to hear about their experiences and we realised a few things all over again. Firstly, everything we do is very closely observed and noticed by those around us (neighbours, work colleagues, etc.). What we (can) say is of secondary importance - our lives are looked at first, then what we say is listened to. Does it match? Secondly, it takes a very long time for a relationship to become familiar enough for deep questions to be asked and for more honest dialogue to take place.

This old new realisation motivates us anew to be faithful to people here in love and to "simply" live with them, even if we can't (yet) always say what we would like to. And we are also delighted to see that we are actually having more and more in-depth conversations with work colleagues and neighbours. Our life here is certainly more like a marathon than a sprint and so we are all the more grateful that you support us and have our backs. Thank you so much!

Best regards and "God bless you"

Euchi Burgers

["post-9320","seetal_chile_poscht","type-seetal_chile_poscht","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
