When we describe a person as resentful, we mean that they are bad at forgiving and forgetting. The situation was that Peter claimed three times that he did not know Jesus, despite being told otherwise. He wanted to save his skin with these lies. When Peter realised what had happened, he fell into a deep sadness. Totally frustrated, he wanted to leave behind the phase of his life in which he had been travelling with Jesus for three years. Yet he had believed that he would change the world with Jesus.

Back in his old job as a fisherman, it didn't work out either. The net remained empty. In his greatest frustration, he met the resentful love of Jesus. First, He helps Peter to catch his life and then He welcomes him to the shore with breakfast.

Instead of the expected reproach for his denial, he asks three times: "Do you love me?" Jesus is not resentful at all, but forgives Peter and makes a new beginning possible.

The first two times Jesus asks with the verb for divine agape love. Peter, who has become a little more humble and reserved, answers with the word for friendship love (phileo). He does not dare to return Jesus' unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And now comes the ingenious change: Jesus asks Peter about phileo love the third time. He picks Peter up exactly where he stands. This is how it works God resentful love.

Again and again I hear how people feel too bad and ask themselves questions like: Do I love Jesus enough? Do I trust Him enough? The answer is: You don't have to have reached a certain level for things to work out with Jesus. He picks you up with His resentful love exactly where you currently stand.

If you still hear condemnation in your heart, you should definitely reject it. St Paul says: "So now there is no more condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 NLB). The resentful love God is inconceivable, indescribable and is for you!

["post-9451","seetal_chile_poscht","type-seetal_chile_poscht","status-publish","hentry
["GET
