What does our social association Lichtblick do?

Do you already know our social association Lichtblick? We have been around for 11 years. We were born out of the desire to help people in emergency situations quickly and without complications. And we are not running out of work!

Time and again, people come to us who are in an unsuccessful job search, have financial difficulties or addiction problems, or are looking for a place to live. With our social counselling, we accompany these people and face these challenges together. Together we draw up a budget, write job applications or look for a suitable place to live or undergo therapy.

We also offer practical help as a ray of hope. Whether it is shopping, environmental work, computer operation, household, driving service or one-off childcare. And this for everyone who cannot do these jobs themselves. Be it because of their age, an illness/accident or for financial reasons.

Recently, it has become more and more common for migrants to contact us and ask for social counselling but also for practical help. For example, that we accompany them to an appointment at the political municipality because they do not understand enough what the municipality wants from them or that they need help to take out a suitable mobile phone subscription. Often, however, they just want to spend time with us and get to know our culture better, or they want us to get to know their culture better. What an enrichment for both sides!
