In the coming semester, the glow Ameisli and kids' team will hold regular leader afternoons. This means that we will not be organising any afternoons with the children during this time. Our aim is to grow as a team, expand our skills and develop new ideas so that we can offer the children an even more enjoyable and enriching programme in the future.

The programme is only one part of what we want to focus on. Our main concern is that we can inspire children to live a life with Jesus. All others are subordinate to this concern. We will also have times of praise and prayer together as a team in order to emphasise this concern.

So that you, who are interested, can take part, a leader will write a short blog post and give an insight into the experience.

On 22 November, we had another one of our leaders' afternoons. We met for lunch at Fornholz, where we cooked chilli con carne over the fire. There was snow on the ground and it was quite cold, which made a hot meal all the more enjoyable.

After our delicious warm-up, we spent some more time there, chatting and joking around with the team. Eventually, we had to leave, so we tidied everything up and made our way to Seetalchile. Once there, the next part of our team afternoon awaited us.

Melanie Zaugg from Besj came to visit us for this training session to take a closer look at the topic of devotions. Each of us had chosen a story from the Bible in advance, which we then discussed in detail. Melanie explained to us in several steps how we could find detailed information and what is ultimately important when holding a devotion with children.

At first, it was a bit cold because the youth centre still needed to warm up, but once it had done so, we enjoyed the training more and more and the time flew by. Melanie used a few examples to explain how to structure a story in an exciting way and convey it effectively.

Finally, we took a short break. Melanie had brought some biscuits with her :). We spent the last part of the training session reading stories aloud in a theatrical manner and paying attention to what is important when doing so. By the end of the afternoon, each of us had written a short devotional and we had all learned a lot.

Thank you very much for giving us an insight into your work! It's really impressive how you focus on skills and vision as a team for the glow Ameisli&Kids work.
