Resurrection celebration at Easter
Sunday, 5 April 2026 | 06:00 a.m.
«Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark» begins the account of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John. This is exactly what we want to do. On Easter Sunday, we will meet on the Homberg for our resurrection celebration. There are four different starting points. Once we reach the highest point, we want to celebrate this wonderful day - Jesus' victory over death - together!
We will be reminded of the first Easter event at various stations along the way. We want to immerse ourselves in the event and finally come together at the meeting point with all the groups full of joy. An Easter fire will be lit there. Together we will experience a liturgical celebration of the resurrection with many interactive elements. From the oldest to the youngest, everyone is cordially invited to celebrate this joyous day together.
Afterwards, we will round off the joint resurrection celebration with a snack and something to drink.
Here you will receive a brief overview of the respective hiking route with the most important information. You will also receive a printed liturgy for the hike at the meeting point. As we will be out early, it is worth taking a torch with you.
Our routes:
- The cosy one (Start at 06:00 am at the Birrwil forest hut)
- The steep (Start at 06:00 am in Leimbach)
- The height overcoming (Start at 06:00 am at the Zihl in Beinwil am See)
- Homberg restaurant car park (start at 06:30; suitable for older people and pushchairs; 5-minute walk to Homberg)
Choose a route for you and join in!

Hi Cedrick, could you please add a map of where all the routes for Easter start? I have no idea where that should be, thank you Katharina
Dear Katharina
Thank you for your question. If you click on the name of the route, a PDF will open in a new window with the exact route description including journey, time conditions, route and a map.
I'm very happy to have you on board.
Best regards Cédric
Dear Cédric, how long will the event last?
Dear René
We will be ready on the Homberg around 7.30 am.
Afterwards, there is something to eat and drink, and everyone can decide for themselves how long they want to stay.
Then there is the return journey to the car.
Kind regards
Cédric
