In the coming semester, the glow Ameisli and kids' team will hold regular leader afternoons. This means that we will not be organising any afternoons with the children during this time. Our aim is to grow as a team, expand our skills and develop new ideas so that we can offer the children an even more enjoyable and enriching programme in the future.

The programme is only one part of what we want to focus on. Our main concern is that we can inspire children to live a life with Jesus. All others are subordinate to this concern. We will also have times of praise and prayer together as a team in order to emphasise this concern.

So that you, who are interested, can participate, a leader will write a short blog post each time and give an insight into the experience.

Today was the second leaders' afternoon. We met at 12:00 and enjoyed a delicious lunch together. Afterwards we discussed the Ameisli and Jungschi visits we have made since the last leaders' afternoon. A third of us went to the Ameisli and Jungschi Gränichen, while the rest of us visited the HuScha and split up between the Ameisli and Jungschi. We told each other how the afternoons went with the other groups and what good ideas we would like to take away from there. We then collected together what positive things we could transfer to our own Ameisli and Jungschi afternoons.

We then split into small groups and considered points for a leader's code. It was important to us that this code contains things that help us to work well together as a team and that are also valuable for our role model role towards the children. To make the performance more exciting, we didn't just read out the rules, but presented them as little theatre scenes or pantomimes. This made for many funny moments and the others had to guess which rule was meant. The leaders' code is then officially drawn up and recorded at the next leaders' afternoon.

Finally, we all went bowling together in Aarau. We had a lot of fun there. It was a great second leaders' afternoon where we learnt lots of new things and had a really good time together as a team. We're already looking forward to the next one.
