A new perspective!

Neue Beschallung

Some hard-working helpers were able to enjoy this view several times last week. An unusual perspective into our worship hall! We carried out important assembly work at a dizzying height. Because from next Sunday we will be putting our optimised sound system into operation.

Since moving into our new building (2014), we audio technicians have been able to gain a lot of experience in creating the best possible sound image for music and speech for the visitors at our events. We have never lost this ambition and do everything we can, Sunday after Sunday, to become even better at it.

However, this constant development has also shown us limits that could not be overcome without extended measures. Without going into too much detail at this point, the challenge so far has mainly been to find the right balance between loudness and lack of directness of sound. To overcome this problem, structural measures are necessary.

So we sat down with a professional acoustician to check our findings on the one hand and to get support for a possible optimisation on the other. This week, we were able to implement the recommended measures and put a new loudspeaker system into operation.

You can hear the result! From now on, all seats in the hall as well as in the bistro are supplied with direct sound. This is a massive increase compared to the situation before, when only a third of the entire area could be directly covered by sound. For us as technicians, this makes our work much easier. A completely new perspective that ultimately benefits us all!
