Nigerian Christians in the Face of Islamist Terrorism and Persecution
This event will take place in the Reformed parish hall in Seon. We will meet at 7:30 pm for an aperitif. You are cordially invited!
Nigeria is now one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian. Islamic terrorism, anchored by terrorist organisations such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State for West Africa (ISWAP), has been joined by a Fulani militia that also acts as bandits to decimate Christian communities in the Middle Belt of Nigeria. The international community stands idly by as Nigerian Christians are violently persecuted.
Speaker: Franklyne Ogbunwezeh, Senior Research Fellow and Director for Genocide Prevention in Africa at Christian Solidarity International; a Zurich-based Christian human rights organisation, would take us through the underlying problem that fuels Christian persecution in Africa's most populous country.
