Off to Gais! On Saturday morning, 48 brave kids and their leaders travelled to the beautiful Appenzellerland. After a well-deserved lunch, we explored the area, built a field standard and spray-painted our tunics to match the group. Before dinner, all the luggage was stowed away and everyone had their own bed. In the evening, the kids got to know the four Romans Tinitus, Krassus, Helena and Julius a little better in the theatre and heard a gripping story from the Bible. Some of the kids struggled with homesickness when they went to sleep - but they were able to sleep anyway and are now feeling great.

In the last three days, the children could make swords, shields, helmets and spears, build a fortress and a prison in the forest and explore the countryside on a hike.

We are very grateful that there have been no serious injuries so far and that the fellowship among leaders and kids is very nice. The weather has also been great so far. It's a shame that almost half the camp is over.

We would like to thank our sponsors who made it possible for us to present all the kids with a goodie bag at the start of the camp. Our thanks go to: Bio Partner Schweiz AG, Papeterie Unterdorf Seon, Cruspi SA, Coop Schafisheim, INTERSPORT Döbeli Seon, baerli-biber and LANDI Hallwilersee Genossenschaft - Volg Seengen.
