A great atmosphere despite the bad weather!

Last Saturday was not the nicest day in May, yet glow Kids took place in the forest as planned. With rain jackets and a plan B, we walked with the kids into the nearby forest. This way we could always go back to the youth centre in case of rain showers. However, the light fissel rain didn't bother at all and definitely no one was cold due to the terrain game. The gold was earned and the treasure map pieces sold; everyone was very motivated.

In the treasure, of course, was a Zvieri, which had to be searched for with the map. When it came to the time for the devotion, streams suddenly flowed. But it was fitting, because we were with Jesus in the boat on the Sea of Galilee. There was also a big storm. But where do we put the kids so that they can listen without getting soaking wet? We had a brilliant idea! We have canvas with us, let's build a tent roof! At piecework speed, four tarpaulins were tied together to form a large one and hung over the forest sofa. The enthusiasm was great, not only among the children. Now we could all hear in the dry how Jesus commanded the storm to be calm. A fascinating and weather-appropriate story!

We are looking forward to more great afternoons in the forest, of course also when the sun is shining?

Would your child(ren) like to join us for the next glow Kids afternoon?

Here you can find out more about it.
