On 14 September, seetal chile will be taking part in "Viva Esprit", the solidarity collection of Viva Church Switzerland. This year, "Viva Esprit" is focussing on the pioneer community in Rheinfelden and the solidarity project in Brunnen. All donations we receive this Sunday will be passed on and will benefit these projects. This joint collection covers two important areas.

Innovation

Founding new communities is like a company's research laboratory. New things have to be tried out and prototypes created that are then tested. The Viva Church Switzerland does the same: New ways are tried out to reach neighbours and friends with the gospel. This often happens in small groups. If people actually start to believe and are baptised, then a new church can grow out of this and is integrated into the association. This is a demanding and very serious task that requires a great deal of commitment and spiritual steadfastness.

Solidarity

In a company, however, there are also moments of demolition and rebuilding. A relaunch is necessary. This is also part of Viva Church Switzerland. When a church is going through a challenging time or wants to develop but lacks the necessary financial resources, the Viva Church Collective lends a helping hand. This can be done in different ways. Through new pastoral staff who need to be paid, or through general budget support.

You can find specific information on the projects on the Viva-Esprit website.
