That was the glow mountain weekend 2025

Once again this year, we planned a weekend in the mountains under the leadership of Andreas Hauser. The aim was to occupy a self-catering hut in Graubünden with around 26 beds for one night. Many participants were looking forward to it. When we received 40 registrations after the closing date, this presented us with a new challenge.

The weather, the size of the group and other circumstances made it impossible for us to organise the weekend as planned. But we didn't want to cancel the weekend under any circumstances, so we enjoyed the following programme as a large group:

We met on Saturday, 30 August 2025 at 18:00 in the seetal chile for a two-day adventure. To start, we enjoyed a delicious meal and then watched a film together. As we had to get up early the next morning, we went to bed full of anticipation (for most of us).

With the aim of leaving on time at 05:00, the first people got up at 04:15 and got ready. At 05:00 the last car left for the Susten Pass. In the beautiful morning atmosphere, we enjoyed (cold but delicious) pancakes in the car park at 07:00. Then we set off for the Tierbergli hut.

Some hiked in the fast group, others in the leisurely group and those who were equipped were able to do the via ferrata. After about two hours, everyone arrived safely at the hut at an altitude of just under 2,800 metres. The weather and the view were a real joy. After a short break, we joined in a time of worship with a guitar we had brought up ourselves. This was bordering on a breathtaking moment. We were able to worship our God in his marvellous creation with beautiful songs and together in a large group. That was my personal highlight.

Afterwards, we made our way back to the car park by the river for a barbecue, a swim and, of course, "Bächli damming". The weekend came to an end at 17:00 at the seetal chile.

Despite the difficult circumstances and the "improvised" programme, it was a wonderful weekend. We will definitely organise another glow mountain weekend next year. A big thank you goes to Andreas Hauser, who invested an enormous amount the week before so that we could offer such a good alternative programme. I would also like to sincerely thank everyone who prayed for the weekend!
