Bonhoeffer - Tragedy of a love

In the year commemorating the assassination of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the Aargauer Seetal Alliance is bringing the musical play "Bonhoeffer - Tragedy of a Love" to Seon in the parish hall of the Reformed Church. You are cordially invited to this unique opportunity!

The Drama tells the story of the love and relationship between the Lutheran theologian and representative of the Confessing Church, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Maria von Wedemeyer during the Second World War - which came to a tragic end. Bonhoeffer, who had already taken sides against the persecution of the Jews in 1933 and joined the resistance against Hitler in 1938, was executed in Flossenbürg concentration camp in April 1945 on Hitler's direct orders. Through the interplay of drama, music, language and the inclusion of many sources, a contemporary testimony has been created that portrays the love of two people in a way that is as touching as it is oppressive and is therefore of shocking topicality today.
