Community weekend 2026

The church weekend is a great opportunity to get to know people from our church better. We have time and leisure for discussions, joint activities and to express our faith in various ways. 

We want to give space to the topic of community in the context of the Holy Spirit (the weekend takes place on Pentecost), which connects us in a very special way.
The Greek word «KOINONIA» means community, participation or partnership. 
«The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, which gives you fellowship [koinonia] with one another, be with you all!» (2 Corinthians 13:13).

We look forward to exploring together how we can experience and deepen genuine, deep community in the spirit of KOINONIA.

Where and who

We are looking forward to an interesting weekend at the Jugendgästehaus in Bad Schussenried (https://www.humboldt-jugendgaestehaus.de/jgh/jugendgaestehaus-bad-schussenried) with plenty of time to get to know people from the community better or better. You can also expect an entertaining programme tailored to everyone: sports, creative workshops, walks, city and other sightseeing tours, fun and games, drinking coffee and hopefully swimming in the moor lake. All ages and (almost) all needs will be catered for.

The house consists of single and double rooms. The most comfortable rooms - all wheelchair-accessible - are naturally allocated to older people. A family can easily occupy two rooms next to each other and, if necessary, place additional mattresses on the floor. Children's beds and highchairs must be brought along.

For the toddlers we will set up a "Kinderhüeti" with lots of toys. We will also offer exciting leisure activities for the older kids.

Arrival and departure

It is possible to arrive on Friday evening. Rooms can be occupied from 17:00. Dinner in the accommodation is not possible on Friday. From 19:30 we will open the «Höck» together in the pavilion and on Saturday morning we will offer an optional programme after the morning meal. Due to the capacity of the house, arrival on Friday is limited to 70 places. Unfortunately, this number has already been reached and it is only possible to arrive on Saturday. The official start of the community weekend is lunch on Saturday at 12.30 pm. Check-in is open from 11:00 am. On Monday, 25 May, after lunch, we will make our way home again.

The prices

The prices vary if you arrive on Friday evening (italics) or Saturday morning (bold) happens.

Adult person aged 27 and over: CHF 175.-* / CHF 135.-*

Children under 5 years: Free of charge, provided they stay in their parents' room in a travel cot - otherwise with an extra bed: CHF 80.- / CHF 55.-*

Children aged 5 to 16 years: CHF 135.-* / CHF 95.-*

Young people between the ages of 17 and 26: CHF 155.-* / CHF 115.-*

*with Full board and free use of all offers

Additional costs: Certain entrance fees for voluntary offers and additional drinks.

The cost should not be an obstacle to participation for anyone. Please do not hesitate to contact the seetal chile office if you are unable to pay the fee.

The closing date for applications is 26 April 2026.
