«Music mission statement» project - insight into the current status

Imagine the whole seetal chile singing together before God. We raise our voices and the whole room fills with praise. Polyphonic singing and music combine in devotion to our Lord as our hearts reach out for His presence and glory. Together we focus on him and honour him with what we sing and live.
A wonderful performance.

This vision characterises our current project «Mission Statement Music», in which people from the church leadership, the technical team and the music core team are working together on a concept for the musical design and further development of our church services.

In a first session, various topics were collected that are important for a healthy and sustainable worship culture. It became clear that issues relating to volume, sound, song selection, the organisation of worship and the different needs of the generations are closely linked. Our aim is not to look at these issues in isolation, but to approach them holistically.

However, the aim is not to make everyone happy, but to create a worship culture that is as authentic and lively as possible and that is acceptable to as many people as possible.

Note: Ear plugs are now also available at the Info-Egge and can be used for more comfortable hearing for the individual.

In the coming months, we would therefore like to incorporate both objective data and personal perceptions. We are planning volume measurements during the services as well as feedback from a broad-based feedback group. In this way, we want to obtain as balanced a picture as possible.

Another focus is on cooperation between the music and technical teams. Clear processes, good communication and mutual understanding should help to ensure that everyone involved is working together towards the same goal. Good and efficient cooperation is very important to us, especially in view of the two church services in the autumn.

Once the data has been collected and analysed, it is planned to involve the congregation in the process. Our wish is to develop a guideline that provides practical orientation and common guidelines, promotes congregational singing and contributes to a lively culture of worship for all generations.

Knowing that this process can begin and grow in each individual's heart and in their personal relationship with God, we look forward to continuing on this path together with you.

We look forward to travelling with you and worshipping our Lord together. Thank you for your support!

The process thrives on mutual exchange. If you have any questions, suggestions or observations, please feel free to contact us at any time or send an e-mail to silas.burgherr@seetal-chile.ch report.
